Au bout du suspense, la bande à Juan Martin Del Potro, héroïque face à Marin Cilic (mené 2 sets à 0), a soulevé à Zagreb, pour la première fois de son histoire, le fameux Saladier d’argent. Lors du match décisif, c’est Federico Delbonis qui est venu à bout d’Ivo Karlovic en trois sets (6-3, 6-4, 6-2).
